On Wednesday, 27 April some of our team in Tom Price were joined by senior leaders and customer representatives to celebrate the official opening of our new, expanded facility. The new facility was constructed to further support the growth our team has experienced on the back of their strong relationship with our customer, Rio Tinto.
The expanded facility includes new offices, a crib room, ablutions and vegetation. The team also has a new IT step up to assist with virtual meetings, increasingly important given the COVID times we are currently living through! All in all, this has been quite the upgrade from their previous facilities, which were made up of sea containers and portable buildings.
Maintenance and Industrial Services Executive General Manager, Zoran Bebic, congratulated the team on their success in the region and acknowledged their ongoing collaboration with their customer.
The team attribute their success to multiple factors, including an increased focus on securing larger capital projects, developing their team members and fostering a strong culture.
Project Manager, Daniel Hawke, said it came down to the team’s attitude and commitment towards each other and the customer, whilst executing projects.
“We’re pretty lucky as we’re able to draw on each other’s diverse experience and knowledge to plan and complete projects, both efficiently and safely. We all work together closely and agree work enjoyment and productivity go hand in hand,” he said.
Recently, the team was also commended by Mondium, our joint venture with Lycopodium, for assisting them with a shutdown and ensuring they didn’t experience project delays, despite being in the middle of a project themselves.
