MD Safety Innovation Award Winner 2020/2021 selects Fair Game charity

As part of the MD Safety Innovation Award process, the team behind the winning safety innovation is given the opportunity to nominate the charity that will receive the Award donation.

This year’s winner, the Monadelphous, M&IS Port Hedland Operations team chose Fair Game Port Hedland to receive this donation.

Fair Game are a registered, not for profit charity; their mission is to create an equitable, healthier and sustainable Australia by delivering unique health & fitness programs and recycled sports equipment to remote and under-serviced communities. They work with communities, building their capacity to promote healthy lifestyle choices which reduce the risk of lifestyle related disease, build social cohesion and improve mental well-being.  

Rob Kean (Project Manager – MMNW), Harin Welideniya (Project Engineer, MMNW), Nicholas Sabbatino (Project Lead – MMNW) and Claire Smith – (Senior Project Administrator – MMNW) presented the Award’s donation to Grace and Shannon (Volunteers) from Fair Game – Port Hedland.  

Grace was extremely appreciative of the donation and gave a heartfelt thank you to the M&IS Port Hedland Operations Team for choosing Fair Game as the recipient of the donation. She stated, “Thanks again for the donation – It is so appreciated and will go to good use! I know the kids would love some more equipment!” 

Grace also congratulated the team for their winning submission in the 2020-2021 Managing Director’s Safety Innovation Award.
