Angie has been with Monadelphous in Kalgoorlie for 21 years, as the friendly face at the front desk, supporting and keeping the team organised.
She said that she has seen plenty of change over the years as the Company has grown and that the best thing about it is the people she gets to work with.
“Time has flown and it is hard to pick out one particular highlight!” she said.
“We’ve always had a good team over the years and it has always been a great place to be.”
Angie was born in Abruzzo, Italy. Her grandfather came to Kalgoorlie during the gold rush and her parents followed later on, working in the mining industry.
After growing up in Kalgoorlie, she now lives here with her husband. She said that she enjoys the laidback and casual lifestyle.
“Everyone knows everyone, and it has remained a really friendly place, even with all the changes over time. That is what Kalgoorlie is all about – people helping each other,” she said
“I have seen Kalgoorlie at its best when it was really thriving and things have changed a bit but it has never lost that friendly culture.”
Angie and her husband were previously involved with the Italian Club and now, with their spare time, they mostly enjoy catching up with friends.
When they have the opportunity, they enjoy travelling to Singapore. While Angie has been back to Italy a few times she said she would love to go with her husband so he can meet her family there. She would also love to go to the States, as she has family in New Jersey she would love to visit.
She has also just celebrated a birthday in October – happy birthday Angie!
