Our work in Boddington

Written by Communications | 1 Dec 2022

Recently we secured a three-year extension to continue providing general, electrical, and mechanical maintenance, shutdown support and tank refurbishment services at the Boddington mine-site in Western Australia.

One of Australia’s largest gold mines, this ‘drive-in-drive-out’ open cut mining operation is approximately a one and half hours’ drive south of Perth.  The site is located within the Saddleback greenstone belt, 16 kilometres from the rural farming town of Boddington.

The mine produces both gold and copper, with commercial production beginning at the site in 2009. By August 2012, the mine had reached two million ounces of gold production.

Our team provides resources and services for execution of planned, preventative and shutdown maintenance with maintenance teams executing structural integrity and remediation scopes of work, in addition to completing minor shutdowns.

Mining and Minerals Southern Region General Manager Paul Francis said that extension of this contract is a result of our team consistently delivering to a high standard for our customer.

Well done to everyone involved in the ongoing work at Boddington and helping to secure this important contract extension.
