As one of the first engineering companies to enter the Goldfields, Monadelphous has remained a key part of the Kalgoorlie community over the decades. We established our first workshop in Kalgoorlie in 1972, marking the start of the Company and our history within the local community.
We continue to have a strong presence in the region today as we undertake a variety of work including providing maintenance and shutdown services and repairs and fabrication at our workshop. We remain committed to supporting the local community and delivering for our customers in the region for many years to come.
During NAIDOC week this year and in partnership with the Victoria Park Centre for Arts (VCPA), we supported the ‘Danjoo Koodjool Boodja’ exhibition, meaning ‘Two Countries Together’. The title celebrates the unique forces of indigenous cultures from across thousands of kilometres of Country coming together in a meeting of cultural expression where stories and connection are shared.
The exhibition allowed VPCA to transport artwork from Goldfields artists to Perth and expand their commitment to the development of sustained First Nation representation. The artwork was also available for sale while on display in Perth.
Monadelphous purchased Travelling to be with family in Kalgurla country by artist Marie West – pictured below – which will soon be proudly displayed in our Kalgoorlie office.
We look forward to continued growth and opportunities to partner with the local community in the Goldfields region.
