Safer Together in Darwin

Written by Communications | 7 Feb 2023

Our HSE representatives attended the Safer Together forum in Darwin this month which was a great opportunity to network with our customers and to profile Monadelphous in the region.

Area Manager Rick Doyle, Training Lead Alysha Tulley and M&IS HSEQ Manager Abigail McPherson represented Monadelphous at the booth sessions, sharing our perspective on the Industry Safety Induction (ISI) and answering questions.

ISI is a Safer Together Initiative that defines an agreed standard of core safety competence and a set of common working behaviours for everyone within the oil and gas industry.

The benefit is industry-wide alignment and consistency in terms of safety expectations for employees and a standardised safety induction process.

329 people from Monadelphous have completed the ISI in the first eight months of 2022 alone, due to a widespread ramp-up of activities within the oil and gas industry sector. Online delivery of the courses has given us greater flexibility to access the inductions as and when the need arises.

Feedback from the team was that it was a great couple of days, with plenty of interaction at the booths. Check out some photos of the team in action!
