A Christmas message from Paul Francis

As we reach the end of the year, I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Whether you’re heading off for a well-earned break or keeping things moving over the holiday period, please stay safe, support each other and find a moment to recharge.

Safety remains our top priority and this time of year gives us an extra reminder to keep it front and centre, especially with the launch of Summer of Safety for 2025. It also takes the spotlight in the next episode of Torque It Up, our M&IS podcast. If you are up for a Christmas laugh, there are a few solid jokes in there, so it is well worth a watch.

I am also very pleased to share with you all the newest recipients of our Community Grants Program. It has been amazing to see this program grow, and this year, Roxby Downs and the Goldfields joined Bunbury in supporting local initiatives.

Now, for a quick look back at the year.

We marked some fantastic milestones, from a big wave of long service celebrations to the tenth birthday of our South West Workshop. It is always great to see the commitment and pride our people bring year after year.

There were plenty of wins as well. KMK and our Kalgoorlie office both took home the teamwork baton. At the M&IS Leadership Conference, we collected two awards, with RTW recognised for the most improved safety performance and our South West team acknowledged for the most innovative operation.

We have people doing great work every single day and I have really enjoyed seeing everyone champion their teammates through the Monos’ Moments entries each month. And yes, I do read every one of them. A big congratulations to all our winners throughout the year and to everyone who was nominated, it is always great to see that support for each other.

As we head into a new year, let’s bring the lessons, momentum and achievements of 2025 with us. I am looking forward to an energetic and successful 2026 together.
