As we wrap up the year, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Whether you’re taking a well-deserved break or continuing to work through the holiday season, please stay safe, look after one another, and take time to recharge.
To those working over the break, thank you for your dedication—it’s greatly appreciated.
In late november, I had the privilege of travelling to Worsley to celebrate an important milestone with our Worsley Alumina team. This visit marked Monadelphous’ 20 years on-site at Worsley, an incredible achievement made possible by the continued commitment of our south-west team. It was an honour to present the 55th Teamwork Baton to the Worsley Alumina team, acknowledging their outstanding collaboration and success.
It was particularly rewarding to hear from South32 about the appreciation and respect they have for Monos. Building strong, collaborative partnerships with our customers is essential, and it’s fantastic to see those efforts recognised.
I want to especially recognise Area Manager Mark Holdman, who has been with the Worsley team throughout these 20 years. Under Mark’s leadership, the team has navigated challenges, strengthened relationships with our customer, and achieved outstanding results.
Thank you to Chad, Kate, Tash and the broader team for making the event so memorable—it was a fantastic way to reflect on everything this team has accomplished.
I also want to acknowledge that some of our teams have faced difficult circumstances in recent months, however their ability to come together and support one another has been nothing short of inspiring.
In Roxby Downs, the team navigated a two-week power outage, showing incredible perseverance and teamwork and they kept everything running smoothly over the period.
In Kalgoorlie, the team has shown incredible strength and compassion following the loss of a close colleague and a serious injury to another. Their solidarity in these times speaks volumes about the values we uphold as a business.
As we look ahead, let’s carry the lessons and achievements of 2024 into the new year, continuing to work together with resilience and care.
Here’s to an exciting and successful 2025.
Cheers,
Paul
