Hi everyone,
Welcome to another edition of The Pipeline!
First up, a huge shoutout to our Kalgoorlie team, who’ve had a great month. Not only did they take home (or bring home, actually) the M&IS Teamwork Baton, but they also featured in the latest M&IS Podcast. The recognition from the teamwork baton is well deserved and really reflects how well the team works together – great effort, Kalgoorlie!
As some of you might know, Michelle, our commercial manager has been representing Australia in curling championships. It’s been a huge month for her team, competing in not one but two major international events. First up was the Pre-Olympic Qualifier in Scotland, where they earned the chance to compete in the Olympic Qualifier event in December for one of the final two spots at the 2026 Winter Olympics. The team then headed to the USA for the Pan Continental Curling Championships, where history was made as the Australian Women’s team qualified for the World Championships for the very first time. The World Championships will be held in Canada in March 2026 – we’re all cheering you on, Michelle!
I’ve been out and about over the last few weeks, including a visit to Roxby Downs. It was great to spend some time on site with the team there and with a major steam outage underway and 800 additional people on site for the next 2 weeks there’s a bit going on!
The applications for our Community Grants Program are closing soon, and we’ve had an incredible response. It’s been fantastic to see so many submissions come through, and I really value how this program allows us to support the communities where we live and work. We’ll be announcing the successful recipients shortly, so keep an eye out.
In this month’s edition, you’ll find a progress report from the Saltwater project RTW have been working on, news about some exciting staff changes, a wrap-up of the 2025 Graduate Forum, the launch of Local Legends, and much more.
As the year winds down and we start looking ahead to summer holidays, let’s keep safety front of mind. Whether you're on site, on the road, or at home with loved ones, please take care and look out for one another. Safety doesn’t take a break, and neither should we.
Stay safe and enjoy the month ahead,
Cheers, Paul
