Welcome back to The Pipeline, with some of the latest news from the Mining and Minerals Southern Region.
As you read about in last month’s newsletter, there have been some leadership changes within Monadelphous. Alastair Reid has now stepped into the role of Executive General Manager of the Maintenance & Industrial Services division and, on his first official day in the role, joined us at RTW for our 50th year barbeque (where he was straight on the tools, chopping the onions!). Inside this edition of The Pipeline you can hear from Alastair directly and learn a bit more about him, as well as Zoran Bebic, who is now in the role of Managing Director.
Over the past few months, many of you have been involved in on-site celebrations for Monadelphous’ 50th year of operation, which have been great opportunities to get together and enjoy some food – along with a birthday cupcake or two – while reflecting on what is a very significant achievement for the Company. We marked the occasion in the Goldfields in October, followed by South-West WA in November and will be moving the anniversary celebrations to Roxby Downs next week. You can check out some of the photos from the South-West in this edition of the Pipeline.
Thank you to everyone for supporting these events throughout the year and for making our 50th year a memorable one across the business. A recurring theme has been that it is our people who really are the heart and soul of Monadelphous and the foundation of the Company’s success. I am looking forward to seeing what we achieve together across the Mining and Minerals Southern Region in our 51st year and beyond.
As part of the celebrations, a special anniversary book called “The First Fifty Years” has been created which you can also look through in this edition. This is a great snapshot of the Company’s history, with photos and stories from our early days including in the Goldfields and Roxby Downs – a good holiday read.
To help you get in the festive spirit this holiday season, you can also read about Site Manager Timothy Harrison’s incredible Christmas display. A lot of work goes into his lighting extravaganza, which draws visitors from across the suburbs every year. It is well worth a visit if you are in Perth this December!
