The Pipeline

A message from Paul Francis, Feb '23

Written by Communications | 1 Feb 2023

Welcome to your first edition of The Pipeline for the year. I hope you had a safe and happy Christmas period and enjoyed some downtime. A special thank you to all of you who worked over the season for your dedication.

The new year is the ideal time for us all to reset and refocus, with multiple exciting new projects and opportunities ahead of us in 2023. It is also a good time for a fresh focus on our safety performance, remembering to take extra care as we go about our jobs. Over recent months we have seen an increase in recordable injuries, particularly with hand and finger injuries, so I want to remind you all to protect your hands and always be mindful in your day-to-day tasks. It is our absolute priority to ensure that everyone goes home safely and uninjured every single day!

As most people would be aware, 2022 was filled with celebrations to mark Monadelphous’ 50th year of operation. We wrapped these up with an afternoon celebrating with the team in Roxby Downs on the 6th of December. It was great to catch up with everyone for the occasion, celebrating the important role that our regional operations like Roxby Downs have played in the Company’s history. See some pictures from the event inside this newsletter:

Also in this edition of The Pipeline, read about our Custom Fleet team, the hard-working quiet achievers on one of our longest contracts. You can also catch up on the journey the M&IS Teamwork Baton took last year and find out how we are working on continuous improvement across our projects.

Finally, as you may be aware, we have sadly farewelled John Rubino, Monadelphous’ former Chairman. Under John’s leadership over the last 30 years, Monadelphous has grown into the successful Company and fantastic place to work we know today. Well loved and respected, he will be sadly missed by many. His family have asked that we capture our memories, stories and photos for future generations. If you would like to contribute yours, I encourage you to add to the memories book in the Perth office reception or email through to communciations@monadel.com.au.

Until next time, please look out for one another and stay safe.

Paul.
