The Pipeline

A message from Paul Francis, May '22

As we have been reflecting on our achievements over the first half of the year, it has been particularly encouraging to see continued improvement in safety performance. As always, our ongoing focus and priority is on delivering the safe way. Everyone has a role to play in this and I encourage you all to keep an eye out for one another and speak up if you see something unsafe.

We also continue to have a strong pipeline of work in the mining and mineral markets throughout Western Australia and South Australia, including both new clients and new services for existing clients. This includes securing a further three-year contract for the provision of operation and maintenance services at Synergy’s Muja Power Station in Collie.

2022 marks a very special time for Monadelphous, as it is 50 years since the business was established in a Kalgoorlie workshop.  Over the coming months we will be celebrating this important milestone and all our people who have been key to this success, while we look to the exciting future we have ahead and continue to grow and diversify our business.

As a business we also recognise National Reconciliation Week, 27 May – 3 June, a time for us to reflect and continue working towards reconciliation so we can continue to make change for the benefit of all Australians.  As part of this, it was great to see some of our team kick off the week by taking part in the City of Bunbury’s Reconciliation Walk on 27 May. Starting at Koombana Bay’s Wardandi Boodja sculpture, they walked along the footbridge and ended at the Graham Bricknell Memorial Music Shell, where there was a flag-raising ceremony and story sharing to raise awareness and education around reconciliation. I look forward to seeing how our other teams commemorate National Reconciliation Week.

Now onto this edition of the Pipeline, where you will meet one of our long-termers Luke Ryan, read about the recent careers expo in Adelaide and take advantage of your employee rewards.

Until next time, stay safe.

Paul.
