Welcome to your September edition of The Pipeline, featuring some of the news and highlights from around our Mining and Minerals Southern Region.
This month we announced that we were awarded a three-year contract extension for the provision of general, electrical and mechanical maintenance, shutdown support and tank refurbishment services at the Boddington Gold Mine in Western Australia, and the Tanami mine site in the Northern Territory. Thank you to all involved in securing this extension and for continuing to deliver what we promise for our customer.
Also in September we took part in R U OK? Day across Monadelphous, a great reminder about the importance of looking out for and supporting one another. The theme was ‘no qualifications needed’, meaning that simply checking in on a mate can make a real difference. Please take the time to read and watch the presentation included in this edition of The Pipeline, which has really important messages on how we can support others just by giving them some time and lending an ear.
You may recall back in your June newsletter, we celebrated Rob Grubb’s 30th anniversary with Monadelphous, an incredible milestone to achieve. This month we sat him down for an interview to share his story with you. Rob has been an integral part of our team in the Goldfields over the decades, which also holds a very special place in Monadelphous’ history. In this edition of The Pipeline, you can read Rob’s interview and also learn more about our commitment to the Kalgoorlie community.
Finally, in this edition, read about the supportive and inclusive culture our team at Worsley maintain. Well done to team members Jess Ferrari and Demi Hunter who both recently received recognition by the customer for great work and commitment to safety.
Enjoy reading and please stay safe and well.
Paul.
