The Pipeline

A message from Paul Francis, Apr '22

Welcome back to another edition of The Pipeline where you can get the latest from our Mining and Minerals Southern Region business.

As our divisional summer of safety campaign comes to an end, I’m proud to see that our teams have had a great start to the year from a safety performance perspective. During the first few months of 2022, we have recorded low injury rates across all our areas. This is something to be commended and I encourage you all to keep up this great momentum for the rest of the year. As nothing is more important than our people returning home from work, safe and sound.

As always, our focus is on delivering quality work to our core customers, often off the back of our performance comes organic growth. This includes providing additional services, expanding the locations where we work and delivering for new customers. Recently, we have seen this growth in a variety of our areas with secured civil work down in Kwinana, and across in South Australia, we have been winning contracts in regional locations around Roxby Downs such as Whyalla.

It’s the reputation our people establish in the market that makes new opportunities like these available to us – a testament to all your hard work, so thank you.

Each year we launch our gradate and vacation program to find new talent (and potential future leaders) to join our business. Applications are now open for our 2023 program, if you know of an up and coming Engineer, Construction Management, Accounting or HSE Graduate, then recruit them to join the team by emailing their details to graduates@monadel.com.au.

Now, onto what you can expect in this edition of The Pipeline. We learn all about how our new resource portal is tracking since launch late last year. In the spirit of International Women’s Day, we catch up with Senior Cost Controller, Beckie, who has been with the business for over 10 years. Last but not least, we reflect on our safety journey through the eyes of HSE Lead, Leigh Jones.

On a final note, it’s hard to believe that it’s business strategy time again. What it means for you, is that you can trust that our leadership will have a clear and considered plan for the year ahead and beyond. I look forward to sharing with you the outcomes from our sessions shortly, which will ensure we’re all working towards the same goals.

Until next time, stay safe.

Paul Francis.
