Meet Emma Too, a dynamic and driven engineer who has been making her mark at Monadelphous for more than three and a half years.
Inspired by the ability to use her skills and knowledge across various projects, Emma said that she quickly felt at home at Monadelphous.
"I wanted to be in a dynamic work environment and work on vastly different projects," she said.
"Monadelphous offered just that ā I've gone from above-ground shutdowns to underground remediation, and now Iām working at a power plant!"
After starting her journey as a Graduate Project Engineer in Roxby Downs, Emma seamlessly transitioned from above-ground shutdowns to underground remediation and into the domain of power plants.
Choosing which area to specialise in was initially tricky, but it was soon evident where she was meant to be.
"The resources sector stood out in the end as it has diverse opportunities, and its focus on technology allows me to follow many different pathways," she said.
Emma's career has been marked by significant achievements, including delivering complete above-ground overhaul works, overseeing a year-long underground remediation project, and completing a major shutdown in Whyalla.
One of her proudest moments was signing off her graduate passport, a milestone that signified her transition from a trainee to a seasoned professional. However, for Emma, this is just the beginning.
"I'm looking forward to gaining exposure to different sites, teams and clients within the business and slowly making my way to being a Senior Project Engineer," Emma said.
When it comes to support and growth, Emma said she could not be happier at Monadelphous. She highlights the accessibility of help and support from her managers and co-workers, who are just a phone call or Teams message away, as well as the emphasis on teamwork.
"I have worked with the most amazing, capable and supportive people throughout my journey so far ā many who I consider more of a friend than a colleague," she said.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys exploring the world with her partner through backpacking and travelling. She also finds solace in the company of her dog, Hector, on beach outings and hikes.
Emma's commitment to her career and her adventurous spirit in her downtime both make her a remarkable asset to Monadelphous.
