Congratulations to Shaun Rocchi on recently completing his fabricator’s trade certificate within our South West Operations.
Shaun had previously worked as a bricklayer before starting with Monadelphous as a trade assistant on the Package Boiler Project in 2018. Here he clearly showed his capabilities to become a tradesperson and he was soon offered a fabrication apprenticeship.
After spending time moving around the South-West, Shaun spent nine months at Boddington Gold Mine working with the maintenance team performing shutdowns, maintenance and on projects installing ducting in the Secondary Crusher Building.
Shaun was able to hone his skills whilst working with some of the best welders and fabricators in the South-West at the Bunbury workshop and is now working in the major shutdown core crew where he performs regular shutdowns at the alumina refinery.
Superintendent Chad Sellenger congratulated Shaun on completing his trade certificate.
“Shaun has an excellent attention to detail and is a perfectionist when it comes to quality, which are fantastic attributes to have as a Tradesperson,” Chad said.
“It’s great to see people progress in the business and I’m excited to see Shaun’s journey as he continues through his new career.”
It is fantastic to see opportunities for people like Shaun to grow their skills and potential within the business, with the support of our experienced teams.
