Twenty years young

After two decades of hard work, growth, and plenty of memorable moments, Mark Holdman is marking 20 years at Monadelphous.

Now, the South West Area Manager in M&IS, based in Bunbury, his journey clearly shows the rewards and occasional challenges that come with dedication.

Mark began his career with Monadelphous back in April 2005 as a Boilermaker. Over the years, he steadily climbed the ladder, first stepping up to Leading Hand, then taking on Supervisor responsibilities.

His progression continued as he grew into roles such as Senior Supervisor and Site Superintendent. During a period of restructuring, he seized the opportunity to become Site Manager, and later, when the Bunbury office opened, he transitioned into managing operations across the Southwest of Western Australia.

Reflecting on his journey, he credits much of his growth to the invaluable mentorship he received from colleagues who remain a strong part of his work life today.

Mark’s career hasn’t been without its challenges, and he openly recalls moments that tested his resolve, even when the tough parts meant making difficult decisions during restructuring.

A piece of advice that has always stuck with him is the simple yet powerful notion to “never let fear hold you back.” This mindset has helped navigate the ups and downs with a positive outlook.

While there have been too many standout memories to mention, he remains grateful for the many supportive people at Monadelphous, who are dedicated to being part of a successful team and business.

“The many supportive people at Monadelphous are dedicated to being part of a successful team and business, which makes me feel proud to be involved,” he shared.

For those just starting out, he offers this advice.

“When you find a good company, stay with them; dedication and effort will lead to rewards,” he said.
