Welcoming HES

We recently announced to the ASX that we have entered into an agreement to acquire High Energy Service (HES), a specialist provider of high-voltage (HV) services located in Wangara, Western Australia.

With more than 15 years’ experience, HES provides HV electrical maintenance and testing, projects and commissioning, and engineering, predominantly to major resources companies throughout Western Australia, particularly within the iron ore sector.

The business employs around 100 personnel, and generates more than $30 million of revenue per annum.

HES’ capabilities and reputation complement our existing service offering, further enhancing our role as a comprehensive maintenance service provider.

The acquisition of HES is a significant enabler for Monadelphous, as it supports our strategic efforts to expand our capabilities in the development and ongoing maintenance of the essential electricity generation, storage, and infrastructure required for Australia’s energy transition. Here in the Mining & Minerals Southern BU (MMS) we see this acquisition as a genuine opportunity for growth and additional delivery of our expanded services to our many existing customers, whilst hopefully tapping into some of HES existing customers with our mechanical expertise.

We have previously worked alongside HES and are aware of the strong alignment between our businesses, including our shared focus on the crucial role that people and teams play in our overall success, underpinned by the same core values: safety, loyalty, integrity, and a commitment to delivering what we promise. 

HES and their Wangara-based team will reside within the M&IS Mining and Minerals North-West Region business for the next ~12 months given their current large Pilbara based portfolio, and whilst we establish the best structure moving forward to enable ongoing sustainable growth throughout M&IS more broadly. Exciting times ahead!
