Congratulations to Paige Lang, Administration Team Lead , on her 10-year service milestone, which she achieved in March.
Tell us about your career path at Monadelphous?
I started with Monadelphous 12 years ago in 2012, working in recruitment for a year before being made redundant and then returning in 2014 to work for Mining & Minerals West as an Administration Assistant.
Since returning 10 years ago, I’ve been a project administrator, site administrator, labour coordinator, an administration coordinator, personal assistant, business analyst and now team leader.
What do you enjoy about your current role?
I enjoy working with great people, those directly in my immediate team and in the different BUs and divisions, some of who I've worked alongside my entire time here. I appreciate the variety of work I do, the ability to implement new initiatives, and to provide opportunities for improvement.
I enjoy knowing that what I am doing, either directly or indirectly supports our teams on-site who are executing the work that essentially keeps me in a job.
What career advice would you give to someone just starting their career at Monadelphous?
Learn from those around you, work hard and prove yourself. Be open minded to new opportunities and don’t be afraid to voice your ideas – you might just be onto something!
Tell us something people at Monadelphous might not know about you?
Before I came back to Monadelphous for the 2nd time, I was accepted into doing my flight attendant training. Luckily, I got offered a job to come back here because I don’t really think I’d have done well at maintaining a calm professional level of customer service 100% of the time!
