Each August, Keep Australia Beautiful runs a national campaign to raise awareness about the simple actions we can all take to reduce our environmental impact.
Monadelphous has been a proud supporter of this initiative for several years, with many of our sites participating in local clean-up events as part of our broader commitment to environmental stewardship.
Across the week, volunteers gathered together to support our ongoing efforts to Keep Australia Beautiful.

This year, the Kalgoorlie and Bunbury teams took part in the campaign, focusing their efforts along Anzac Drive and Jetty Baths.
The Kalgoorlie team, led by HSE Officer Farnush Ahmari, of around 13 dedicated individuals, spent an hour collecting rubbish along a 300-meter stretch – a spot they have regularly cleaned up over the last few years.
Despite the high levels of litter in the area, the team noticed a positive trend: less rubbish than in previous years and more community involvement.
The team’s efforts filled two utes with everything from toothbrushes and old cans to carpets, shoes, and tyres.
The sunny weather made the rewarding experience even better, and the team left feeling proud of their contribution to keeping the community clean.
Bunbury also joined in for their first clean-up event. A team of 12 people headed down to Jetty Baths collecting all kinds from around the surroundings.
Bunbury HSE Advisor Jess Perry noted the phenomenal amount of glass on the beach – a reminder to everyone to be careful how they dispose of everyday products.
Despite the weather, the team managed to stay dry and even enjoyed a BBQ after the clean-up.
