In January we held Lunar New Year celebrations in both China and Vietnam, marking the Year of the Snake. This year, we celebrated both the Chinese Lunar New Year and the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, which is known as Tết.
The cultural significance of the Year of the Snake added a special touch to our celebrations. In Chinese culture, the snake symbolises wisdom, intuition, and transformation. Similarly, in Vietnamese culture, Tết is a time for renewal, family gatherings, and honoring ancestors, while praying for luck, prosperity and health.
In Vietnam, our festivities began with a team-building event that fostered camaraderie and collaboration among our team members and families. This was followed by a barbecue to bring everyone together and share in the joy of the New Year.
In China, we warmly welcomed our employees, subcontractors, and partners to our grand annual party, a great opportunity for networking. Inteforge Operations Manager, Martin Cauble kicked off the event with a fantastic speech, before General Manager Russell McBain took the stage to present awards acknowledging some of our people’s outstanding contributions.
Thank you to everyone who got involved and made these celebrations memorable. We look forward to continuing to embrace the rich cultural traditions of both China and Vietnam in the years to come.
Special mention and thanks to Anh Nguyen, Zoe Sun, Ainicka Wang, Cindy Yeo, Angie Shi, and Jackie Qiu, who did a fantastic job coordinating the festivities.
