We’re proud to announce the successful completion of the Ampol Future Fuels Project, marking another milestone for the Alevro team. Over the past 18 months, our crew has played a pivotal role in the upgrade of the Ampol Lytton Refinery in Brisbane, contributing to one of Australia’s most strategic energy initiatives.
Alevro’s scope included the provision of 36 lines of Cometto Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs), along with our highly skilled operations team and detailed engineering solutions. These efforts enabled the execution of transportation and installation of oversized modules - some weighing up to 250 tonnes and up to 40m long, 12m wide and 15m tall - with precision and safety.
Safety remains a cornerstone of our operations and the Alevro team delivered, wrapping up this extensive project with just one minor environmental incident, a testament to our commitment to excellence and risk management. Feedback from our customer’s Construction Superintendent was overwhelmingly positive, praising our team’s professionalism and proactive problem-solving.
The Future Fuels Project aims to reduce sulphur content in gasoline to align with greener standards and bolster Australia’s fuel security under the Commonwealth Government’s Fuel Security Package. Alevro’s involvement not only supported this national initiative but also strengthened our presence on the East Coast, expanding our Heavy Lift portfolio and paving the way for future metropolitan modularisation projects.
As we close the chapter on this successful venture, we celebrate the dedication, innovation, and teamwork that made it possible. Congratulations to everyone involved in the Ampol Future Fuels Project. Your efforts continue to define Alevro’s reputation for excellence in heavy lift and engineering solutions.
