Leadership Updates
1 Minute Read

Welcome to your July edition of The Fix.

July was an important month for Monadelphous as we celebrated the launch of our latest Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) during NAIDOC Week, 3-10 July.  This is our fourth RAP and second Stretch RAP, a major step in our reconciliation journey as we focus on embedding reconciliation actions into our long-term strategies.  At an individual level it is important that we all continue to grow our cultural awareness and learn from our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, partners and communities.

It was great to see our site teams getting involved in launching our Stretch RAP as well as NAIDOC week, celebrating the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As we move into the new financial year, I would also like to acknowledge everyone for their dedication and hard work throughout the past year.  This underpins our solid reputation for delivering for our customers and ensuring long-term success in our Mining and Minerals North West Region business.

As a result, we continue to have a strong and diverse pipeline of work and have recently secured significant new contracts.  This includes a five-year contract to provide maintenance, repairs, general shutdown services and minor projects across all of Fortescue Metal Group’s mine sites and ports.  We have also secured a contract associated with the construction of a pipeline at the Roy Hill Mine site.

A great recent example of teamwork was the completion of the fabrication and installation of conveyor belt change out stations at Tom Price, involving our local team together with Heavy Lift and fabrication subsidiary, RTW to ensure that the project was delivered within five months. You can read more about the project in this edition of The Fix.

Also in this month’s newsletter, meet Avery Rawung from our Tom Price Project Team, learn more about our new contracts and hear from our Karratha people and community partners about our role in the region.

Until next time please keep safe.

Nick.
