As part of its ongoing commitment to achieving net zero and greening our fleet, Monadelphous has teamed up with Lewis Auto Hire in Newman and Port Hedland to add two Ford F-150 Electric Vehicles (EVs) to their fleet. This acquisition is part of a larger effort to promote sustainability and support greener initiatives across the business.
Area Manager Aidan O’Reilly highlighted the significance of the EV acquisition as part of Monadelphous' efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and lead by example in the transition to clean energy.
“One of the EVs is currently in Newman on a decarbonisation job for our customer. This project involves installing and commissioning battery charging facilities, which are the first of their type in Australia – we're excited to be part of this project,” Aidan said.
“These facilities are critical infrastructure that support broader decarbonisation and aligns with Monadelphous’ commitment to net zero.”
With more than 30 team members on site, the project aims to transition the entire mobile plant fleet from diesel to electric.
By integrating EVs into its operations and supporting the delivery of clean-energy projects, Monadelphous is taking practical steps toward decarbonising its services and supporting Australia’s energy transition. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to environmental leadership and continuous innovation on the path to net zero.
