Celebrating Monadelphous in the Goldfields

A number of Monadelphous leaders visited our Goldfields operations last week to celebrate the Company’s 50-year milestone with the local team.

Our workshop hosted a celebratory barbeque to bring people together and mark the occasion.

Making the trip from Perth was:

  • Managing Director, Rob Velletri
  • Head of Projects – Engineering & Construction, Adam Cook
  • Executive General Manager – Maintenance & Industrial Services, Zoran Bebic
  • General Manager, Mining & Minerals Southern Region, Paul Francis

The visit was in recognition that our Goldfields operations have been instrumental to the Company’s success over the years, from our first days in Kalgoorlie to today.

Monadelphous started as a small labour hire organisation called Contract Engineering Associates established in 1972, later renamed Monadelphous in 1978.

In the early days, the Company was responding to demand for a range of general mechanical services to the rapidly growing mining sector in Western Australia. This included purchasing a workshop in Kalgoorlie due to significant opportunities in the region.

Celebrating our 50-year milestone across the business is also about celebrating our hard working and committed regional teams who make it all happen. The visit was a great opportunity to thank everyone for their support over the years, as well as hold a special dinner for a number of local employees who have been with Monadelphous for decades.

Zoran Bebic said that that success and growth over the years is underpinned by our dedicated team.

“At the heart of it all, it is you, our people, who have made our success and growth all possible,” he said.

“We have reached our 50 year milestone together, thanks to the hard work and ongoing commitment of all of you.

“I am really proud of what our team has achieved in the Goldfields over time and am looking forward to seeing what we can achieve in the future.”
