Monadelphous was announced as a finalist in October for the WA Association for Mental Health’s Mental Health Awards under the category ‘Mentally Healthy Workplace’, sponsored by the Chamber of Minerals and Energy. We were nominated because of our commitment to breaking down the stigma traditionally associated with mental health and contributing to facilitating open discussions to help people within our workplace access support they may need.

Overall, there were 160 submissions across 9 categories with 27 finalists, Monadelphous was one of three finalists for the Mentally Healthy Workplace Award.

Joshua Reid, Abigail McPherson, Rebecca Boyd and Tony Higgs attended the awards night on Thursday 25 November at a cocktail function at Beaumonde on the Point.

Abigail McPherson, HSEQ Manager who attended the awards night said “It was a great evening with more than 100 people in attendance.  Unfortunately, we didn’t win, but to be one of three finalists was really pleasing and highlights how much we do in the Mental Health area for our people.”

Clough took home the Mentally Healthy Workplace award for a workplace that encourages, supports and promotes good mental health for its staff, particularly for their work with Mates in Construction.

The health and wellbeing of our employees is key to the success of Monadelphous. The Health and Wellbeing Advisory Group consists of representatives from across the business who collaborate, inform, and share health and wellbeing initiatives and events to improve the overall wellbeing of our employees.
