Supporting Women’s Country Week Cricket

Monadelphous proudly sponsored the Southern Scorpions Team in the Women’s Country Cricket Week tournament in the South West of WA this month. The event provided an excellent opportunity for regional and remote female cricketers to showcase their skills and compete in a tournament with other women.

This tournament offers a pathway for female cricketers to further their cricketing careers through country state selection and beyond. The Southern Scorpions proudly wore Monadelphous caps on the field, with Monadelphous drink bottles at the games. The Monos flag was prominently on display throughout the tournament.

Around 130 players from all over the state, along with parents, family, and friends, came together for the three day event. Monadelphous employee and coach of the Southern Scorpions, Julianne Langley, said that the girls had an awesome time, and the parents were grateful for the sponsorship.

Julianne added that the team was full of very talented, young girls who aspire to play State Country Cricket, and she has no doubt that a few of their players would make the team.

Monadelphous is delighted to have been a part of this fantastic event and to provide an opportunity for the young women to showcase their talent and achieve their dreams.
