Last year, our on-site teams got involved in celebrations for Monadelphous’ 50-year anniversary, including barbeques and morning teas across our various locations. These wrapped up on the 6th of December with an afternoon tea in Roxby Downs.
The team came together for the occasion at the Roxby Downs Tavern with General Manager – Mining and Minerals Southern Region, Paul Francis and Managing Director, Zoran Bebic.
The afternoon was an opportunity to reflect on Monadelphous’ proud history in the region and how far we have come since our early days in the region in the 1980’s.
Monadelphous employed the first members of our Roxby Downs team on 27 June 1988 before opening a workshop on Charlton Road to service Olympic Dam in November of the same year.
Over the years, we have supported Olympic Dam through major expansions and shutdowns, as well as providing ongoing maintenance services.
We have continued to grow our footprint in the region, employing more local people, investing in the local community groups and delivering for our customer, BHP.
Congratulations to the team in Roxby Downs for your ongoing dedication, which is key to our continued success.
