After more than a decade of dedicated service with Monadelphous, Scott Lawrence is stepping into an exciting new MMS Operations Support Manager role.
Scott’s history with Monos’ spans over 13 years, starting as a Graduate Engineer in the Engineering Construction (EC) division in the North West, with stints at the Cape Lambert Site and the Sino Iron Project in Cape Preston.
His career has taken him across various regions, from the rugged landscapes of Western Australia to New Zealand, where he further honed his skills as a Senior Project Engineer with the EC Water Infrastructure team.
Since returning to WA, Scott has worked in several roles within the M&IS business, always willing to step up and help where needed across regions.
Reflecting on his new role, Scott says he's most excited about stepping into areas of the business he hasn’t yet explored in depth, like KMK and Fleet Services.
"I’m most excited about being exposed to areas of our business that previously I’ve not had many dealings with," Scott shared.
"I look forward to understanding the work we do, what opportunities are available to us, and how I can add value to the team."
Taking on the responsibilities of Operations Support Manager means Scott will now oversee Workforce Management, MMS project delivery, and engineering resource management, as well as the Perth Operations portfolio, which includes KMK, Custom Fleet, Synergy Kwinana, and Perth Projects.
In his words, shifting focus from the finer project details to a broader view will be both a challenge and an opportunity.
"Engineers and PMs are naturally drawn to the detail, so it will be a challenge, but an exciting one, as I learn to focus my efforts a bit differently from what I’m accustomed to," Scott said.
Scott’s approach to leadership is built on the strong foundation of support and mentorship he’s received throughout his career at M&IS MMS.
"Since joining, I’ve received fantastic support, advice, and mentorship from people at all levels. I wouldn’t be where I am today without it," he reflected.
"In turn, I hope through my experiences I can extend the same courtesy to current and future colleagues."
