A job well done at Gudai-Darri

Back in July 2021 we mobilised to site at Gudai-Darri to assist Rio Tinto in bringing the most technologically advanced mine to life.  

After months of hard work, the project celebrated the first ore milestone in June of this year and the Monadelphous team have remained on site to finalise delivery of the remaining miscellaneous works and commissioning support. 

Project Manager Mark Cox said overall the team did an excellent job and are on track to demobilise this month. 

“The project experienced some delays however the team are on track to demobilise this month and have overcome any and all challenges thrown at them,” he said. 

“At the height of our works our recruitment team managed to mobilise a peak of 646 personnel who worked together to deliver a safe, productive and quality outcome for the project. 

“This project came about at the right time for us and it was great to display our expertise and be part of a project such as this one,” Mark said.
