A new era of capability

Inteforge has reached an important milestone with the successful commissioning and approval of a new Valve Assembly and Leak Testing Laboratory.

Project Manager, Andreas Albers described the achievement as a defining moment for the business.

“This capability has been several months in the making and represents a deliberate initiative to expand our delivery scope, strengthen compliance control, and improve delivery certainty across projects,” Andreas said.

The initiative began as a strategic proposal from Inteforge to Origin Energy, aimed at bringing greater assurance and schedule control in‑house. To support the setup, Inteforge worked closely with specialist consultants to establish the facility and certify both personnel and processes. The primary control valve actuator vendor also provided on‑site support during commissioning and final verification.

“The support from specialists and vendors has been instrumental. Their expertise helped us establish a facility that meets stringent requirements and demonstrates our commitment to technical excellence,” Andreas said, reflecting on the collaborative effort.

Following a successful demonstration of the facility, procedures, and team competency, Origin Energy has approved Inteforge to undertake valve assembly and leak testing internally for the first time.

“This is a meaningful step forward in our technical capability. It’s the first time we’ve executed this scope in‑house, and it positions us strongly for future work where control, assurance, and delivery certainty are critical,” he said.

All testing will be conducted in accordance with ANSI/FCI 70‑2 Control Valve Seat Leakage requirements.

Beyond immediate schedule and delivery benefits, the new laboratory represents a broader strategic capability expansion. It reduces reliance on external providers, strengthens Inteforge’s value proposition, and creates a foundation for future growth in technically demanding scopes.

“Thank you to everyone involved. This is a solid milestone for the business and a strong foundation we will continue to build on,” Andreas said.
