Ali Amiri brought home a Tinny Time trifecta, receiving three individual nominations for the safety program across the Engineering Construction (EC) divisions operations.
Ali worked on the Western Turner Syncline 2 shutdowns recently and was nominated three times for the award across three different categories, including:
- Helping Out/Speaking Up – Assisting new workers to the area assimilate by stopping them from entering a restricted area, showing them where to park and where the dangerous work is being conducted.
- Owning It – Ali and his colleague were conducting very challenging crane lifts involving steel in an awkward position. Ali is reasonably new to rigging and owned feedback, communicating with his colleague to a high standard to complete the task in a safe and professional manner.
- Helping Out/Owning It – When scoping the job prior to setup, Ali communicated the process and risks to all involved to a high degree. The communication between rigger and crane operator through the entire lifting process was outstanding.
“It’s great to see someone being nominated across multiple categories of Tinny Time and shows that we have the right people on site who exemplify the Monadelphous values,” commented Josh Reid EC HSE Manager.
