Our team in New South Wales recently donated leftover materials from their work at Bayswater Power Station to Aussie Ark’s Tasmanian Devil Sanctuary.

Aussie Ark is a not-for-profit that aims to create a long-term future for threatened Australian species, with a focus on saving the iconic Tasmanian devil from extinction.

When our work scope was completed at the power station just outside of Singleton, our local crew came up with the idea to donate around 300 metres of new and used pipe off cuts to enhance sanctuary habitats.

Operations Manager, Martin Todman, said he was pleased to have the opportunity to support such a fantastic cause.

“We hope by providing materials, such as pipe off cuts, that we can help Aussie Ark with their ongoing efforts to create suitable habitats for these iconic and endangered creatures,” he said.

Martin added that the initiative not only showcases the team’s commitment to environmental conservation, but also serves as a good sustainable practice we can roll out on future projects.

“I want to commend the team for recognising an opportunity to reduce waste on site by repurposing leftover materials and hopefully having a meaningful impact at the Tasmanian Devil Sanctuary,” he said.
