Gladstone’s Goal for Zero

Sustainability HSE QLD
1 Minute Read

Our Gladstone team working on one of our customer’s Train 1 and Train 2 turnarounds in Gladstone banded together with other contractors in support of the Goal for Zero Gladstone initiative to raise funds for local charities.

The intent was to promote safety and reward everyone onsite for their good work. For every injury-free day, funds were raised for selected local charities.

Brandon Sue, Contract Manager, spoke about the initiative. “Not only do we have a way to promote safety within our teams, but we are also giving back to the community where we work – which is very satisfying,” he said.

Overall, the initiative raised close to $100,000 and the Monadelphous team played a huge part in this. The donations will go to a variety of charities including:

  • Calliope Men’s Shed
  • Communities for Children
  • South End Progress Association
  • Mt Larcom RSL
  • Gladstone Wildlife Carers
  • Young People Making a Difference
  • Softly Helping You
  • University of the Third Age
  • Westowe Rural Fire Brigade
  • Ride 4 Lives Australia (Gladstone chapter)
  • Gladstone Aboriginal & Islanders Co-Operative Society
