For Jamie, joining Monadelphous this year was more than just a career move; it was a leap into a world of opportunity.

Having just started her second hitch on-site in PNG’s Kutubu region, Jamie already feels like she's on a path of growth and discovery.

“I have to say, I would never have guessed it. If you had asked me four years ago where I thought I'd be, this would never have been my answer,” she said.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity of being here and having this chance to learn all that I can, and hopefully develop myself within Monos’.”

In her role as an E&I QA/QC Admin, Jamie thrives on the learning curve. She’s thrown herself into the responsibilities and challenges that come with the job, describing it as a thrilling journey.

While stepping into this new position was initially nerve-wracking, she’s found that the support of her Monadelphous team makes all the difference.

“The team here is awesome!” she said, naming Site Manager John Redmond and QA/QC leads Lymon and David as mentors who have been generous with their knowledge and support.

“They were all so welcoming and willing to share their expertise. I really appreciate everyone who gave me a nudge on this new journey.”

The learning isn’t just about technical skills. Jamie’s team has fostered an environment where encouragement flows freely, making her feel she can push past her own doubts.

“Whenever I would doubt myself, they’d be there with advice and encouragement,” Jamie shares.

“I feel as though I have had a little to learn from everyone.

“With a team like this, there’s really nothing I cannot achieve.”

Though she’s still early in her journey with Monadelphous, Jamie has embraced every experience and every lesson along the way.

“It’s been a lot of fun, thanks to the amazing team here,” she said. Jamie sees a bright future ahead, where she hopes to grow not only in her skills but also in her confidence.

“Progress is the main goal for me, right now,” she added.
