Donald “Donny” Cleary is a very worthy Tinny Time winner, his heroic actions in responding to a vehicle accident saved the day.
Donny, showed incredible bravery by being the first responder to a vehicle accident in the Pilbara, pulling a casualty from the wreckage, tending to their wounds, calling for help, and providing support to all involved at the incident site.
Donny’s dedication to his job and his courage in the face of danger are representative of the values that Monadelphous stands for.
Donny has worked for Monadelphous for just over two years and has been heavily involved in the Heavy Lift team.
“I love working with cranes and anything crane oriented, and I’ve been lucky to have the chance to be involved with different job scenarios and job scopes during my time at Monadelphous.”
“I’ve been able to see different parts of Western Australia and more recently Australia,” he said.
Donny is currently working on the West Gate Project in Melbourne, Victoria.
“I’m working in Victoria at the moment on the self-propelled modular trailers (SPMTs), it’s a new challenge that has allowed me to learn new skills and experience new job opportunities.”
“Despite the cold weather in Melbourne, I’m happy to be closer to home and I’m enjoying working with the crew here,” he said.
One of the things that Donny values most about Monadelphous is the company’s family-friendly culture. He considers his colleagues to be some of his closest friends and enjoys working with them daily.
“The crews are some of my closest friends and I’m really lucky to have made such great friends at Monadelphous, it’s a fantastic culture to be a part of,” he said.
