Starting stronger in 2023

As the summer months commenced, we launched the annual Finishing Strong, Starting Stronger campaign in response to the notoriously high-risk time of year when the thermostat rises, we wrap up a big year, the distractions of the festive season are on us and we think about the year ahead.

Sessions have been running across our operations throughout the festive period with over 400 people and counting attending an engagement session and finding value.

“We had great attendance over the festive period and have had a lot of positive feedback throughout the sessions,” said HSE Coordinator, Joshua Baharthah.

“As we return to work in January, it’s important to start the year strong with safety at the forefront of what we do, and ensure we are keeping our mates safe on site,” he said.

Josh, has been running the sessions along with guest presenters from the Happiness Co.

“Throughout the sessions, everyone has been actively engaged and it’s started some very important conversations on site amongst work mates,” he said.

Each month of the campaign has a different focus centred around the Tinny Time program pillars including:

  • Helping out – giving a hand to a work mate
  • Checking in – asking a workmate R U OK?
  • Speaking up – raising an issue with a workmate
  • Owning it – receiving and acknowledging feedback in a positive way

The sessions will continue to run in January and February focusing on helping a mate out and speaking up.
