Leadership Updates
3 Minute Read

We've had plenty happening across E&I since the last edition of On the Wire, and it's been fantastic to see important milestones reached and some outstanding contributions recognised along the way.

Across our business, I continue to see teams stepping up, embracing new challenges and delivering great outcomes for our clients. Whether it's on our projects, through tendering efforts or helping colleagues when they need it most, it's these behaviours that make a difference and continue to strengthen our business.

Many of our people recently came together at this year's EC Leadership Conference, where the theme Strong Culture. Adaptive Leaders. reinforced the importance of creating an environment where everyone can thrive while continuing to adapt to new challenges and opportunities. The conversations and connections across the two days highlighted the important role our leaders play in developing capability, shaping culture and helping their teams succeed.

The conference also gave us an opportunity to celebrate the outstanding performance of individuals and teams across the EC Division, and I was delighted to see Iain Hannant recognised as one of this year's HSE Award recipients.

Care sits at the heart of everything we do, and Iain's recognition reflects the positive impact he has on those around him every day. As the first dual recipient of our Tinny Time Awards, he has consistently demonstrated the behaviours we value most. He was recognised as a champion of our values and safety leadership principles, demonstrating ownership, checking in on others and leading by example, particularly when challenges arise. Just as importantly, he has provided genuine support to crew members both inside and outside of work during difficult times.

Always approachable, positive and willing to lend a hand, Iain embodies the kind of leadership and teamwork we're striving to build across our business. Congratulations Iain on this well-deserved recognition.

The same commitment and teamwork is also reflected across our projects. The Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline Project has now been successfully completed and closed out, marking the end of a significant and highly successful piece of work for our business.

The team's EC Teamwork Baton Award recognition earlier this year was a fitting reflection of what made this project so successful. Projects like this don't happen without people willing to step up, work together and stay focused on getting the job done safely and well. It's an achievement everyone involved should be proud of.

Work is also progressing well on the Parker Point Stockyard Sustaining Project, with the team successfully completing the final HV shutdowns and commencing demobilisation activities. Reaching this point has required a tremendous effort from everyone involved, and I'd like to thank the team for the commitment and professionalism they've shown so far.

Over at the Cloudbreak BESS project, installation of the batteries is now complete, marking another important milestone for the project. I'd also like to acknowledge the team at Melchor who have successfully finished the civil works scope. Completing the civil works scope ahead of schedule is a terrific achievement, and one that has not gone unnoticed by our client. As a result, the team is now being considered for further tendering opportunities with Fortescue. Congratulations to everyone involved on a great result.

While delivering projects remains our focus, creating future opportunities is equally important. Our tendering activity has remained strong and includes the recent submission of a six-month ECI proposal for a utilities project.

Pulling together a submission of that complexity takes a significant amount of effort, and I'd like to thank the EC Tendering Team for the commitment they've shown not only on this opportunity, but across the past 12 months. The team's ability to rise to the challenge and deliver over and above expectation was acknowledged at our EC Leadership Conference, where they were presented with our inaugural EC EGM Commendation, a terrific reward for their support and contribution.

The depth of capability within our teams is also evident through the support being provided across the broader business. Increasingly, our E&I personnel are contributing specialist expertise to integrated projects including Brockman Syncline 1, Jimblebar TLO, Pluto Train 1 and Car Dumper 4. I'd like to thank everyone who continues to step in, share their knowledge and contribute where it's needed. That willingness to support one another and work collaboratively across the business is one of our greatest strengths.

Thank you all for your hard work, professionalism and commitment. The progress we're making across our projects and the opportunities we're creating for the future are only possible because of our people.

Whether you're delivering work on site, supporting projects behind the scenes, securing future opportunities or helping a teammate through a challenging time, every contribution matters.

Thank you for everything you do, and I look forward to seeing what we continue to achieve together.
