A Christmas message from Doug Macintyre

Welcome to the final Ramp Up edition for 2024. 

I want to take a moment to reflect on my journey with Monadelphous over the past 20 years and express my thanks to everyone I’ve had the privilege of working alongside. 

From building partnerships with key customers like Woodside, INPEX, and Shell, to breaking new ground in the offshore oil and gas decommissioning market, our team has consistently demonstrated resilience, innovation, and a commitment to excellence. Working alongside such talented and dedicated people has been the highlight of my career. Your teamwork, expertise, and shared values have driven our success and made this journey so meaningful. For that, I thank you wholeheartedly. 

As I prepare to hand over the reins, I’m confident the Energy business will continue to thrive under John O’Brien’s leadership. Bringing more than 15 years of engineering and project management experience across offshore and facilities maintenance, John joined Monadelphous in 2020 and has made significant contributions since then, most recently as Project Director for the Shell Prelude FLNG Maintenance Contract. 

Looking ahead, John is dedicated to building on our strong foundation. His focus is on maintaining the high standards of safety and excellence that have been integral to our success. He aims to ensure the continued delivery of exceptional outcomes for our customers, while creating opportunities for the growth and success of our team. 

I’m excited to see how John and the team take the business forward, and I have no doubt the Energy business is in excellent hands. 

As the year draws to a close, it’s a timely reminder to stay alert and keep safety front of mind. Through our Summer of Safety campaign, we’re sharing valuable information to help everyone stay focused during the summer months, especially with the added distractions of Christmas and holidays. 

Please remember to take extra care and look out for your own wellbeing and that of those around you, ensuring we all return refreshed and safe in the new year. 

With that in mind, I’d like to wish you all a safe and relaxing Christmas and New Year and thank you once again for making Monadelphous such an incredible place to work.
