Leadership Updates
1 Minute Read

Welcome to your July edition of Ramp Up, which we begin with some exciting news. Last week, we announced we had secured a two-year extension on our contract with Rio Tinto to continue providing mechanical, electrical and access maintenance services for fixed plant shutdowns at its Gove operations in the Northern Territory. Well done to everyone in our team involved in securing this work and is testament to the great service our Darwin Team has provided Rio Gove over the last 3 years.

I’m also pleased to share, the 2022/23 financial year was one of our Energy business’ busiest yet, which is an absolute credit to all of our teams We continued to expand our service offering, through organic growth of each of our contracts and increasing our fabric maintenance and rope access services to our customers. We also began our journey into decommissioning work on the Northern Endeavour facility and continued to explore more opportunities in this space.

As we look to the year ahead, work on our largest offshore shutdown will kick off in August with a number of other significant projects across Western Australia and the Northern Territory to follow. It is an exciting time for Energy with the extension of our Inpex and Rio Tinto contracts recently, we continue to enhance our customer relationships.

On another note, I’m very happy to announce the launch of our new Karratha Community Grants Program which will support not-for-profit, sport and recreation and community organisations in the local area. For over 30 years, Monadelphous has been proudly working in the region and we want to ensure we have a meaningful impact on the local community. Applications open on August 1, and you can find out more about the Program here.

Finally, there have been a number of tragic incidents in our industry recently. So, as part of our ongoing commitment to safety, you may have heard that we are rolling out a Fatal Risk Control Campaign over the next year, aiming to strengthen our approach to controlling potentially fatal risks within our workplaces. Across our sites, you will be provided with a series of resources and activities to help ensure our people make it home safely at the end of each day and swing. Please take the time to get involved and to continue to be vigilant about what you and your teammates are doing.

Enjoy reading this month’s newsletter and please continue to stay safe.
