Creating opportunities in Karratha

The Energy team is excited to announce the launch of our new Pathway Program in Karratha!

An initiative that stemmed from our Gender Diversity and Inclusion Plan to remove barriers to ensure equal access to opportunities for women entering trade roles.

To enhance female participation in our Energy business unit, we have implemented our pilot Pathways Program in Karratha, with the ultimate goal of increasing the number of skilled and qualified women in the workforce.

The program offers structured pathways for individuals looking to start a career in the energy industry, completing a Certificate II in Engineering Traineeship with the local TAFE and simultaneously gain initial experience as a General Service Officer, and then look to progress to Rigging or Scaffolding High Risk Licence competency with Monadelphous.

The pathway launched in October with the aim to employ maximum of five females, ensuring tailored support each trainee will be encouraged, mentored and supported with hands-on experiences to get a true taste of what it means to be part of the Monadelphous team.

We’re excited to launch this program and engage with Karratha locals to offer employment opportunities, as we continue to promote female participation in the resources sector and position Monadelphous as an employer of choice.
