Turning innovation into impact

As part of the Managing Director's Safety Innovation Award program, the team behind each year's winning safety innovation nominates a charity to receive a $5,000 donation.

Presented with their trophy at the M&IS Conference in Perth in 2025, this year's winners, the INPEX Energy Team (M&IS Services), chose two national charities to split the donation - Make-A-Wish Foundation Australia and Beyond Blue.

Maintenance Superintendent, Dennis Grau, and Senior Coordinator, Brendan Appleby said, "These two charities are close to our hearts. As volunteers in the community, we feel strongly about supporting mental health and children facing serious illness."

"Both of us have experienced the tragic loss of young people to suicide through close friends. It's a devastating issue within the community, that impacts many families, particularly with suicide rates alarmingly high among those under 17 years old. We're grateful for the opportunity to give back and support these two outstanding organisations."

Beyond Blue plays a crucial role in supporting mental health across Australia, working with clubs and organisations to raise awareness and provide accessible support.

Make-A-Wish Australia brings hope and joy to children with critical illnesses by granting life-changing wishes. These experiences offer strength and comfort not only to the children, but also to their families and communities.

With this deeply meaningful choice from the INPEX Energy Team, Monadelphous are proud to support the work of these two incredible charities and hope this contribution assists them to further their missions to help people in our communities.

The Managing Director's Safety Innovation Award program is now open for 2025/2026. This is your opportunity to turn challenges into opportunities and help shape the way we think. Innovation starts with you.
