The Perth office held a Diwali morning tea, where our Senior Project Engineer Siv shared with us the meaning of the Diwali and its origins.
Diwali is one of the major religious festivals in Hinduism, Jainism and Sikhism and was celebrated on 31 October this year.
The name is derived from the Sanskrit term dipavali, meaning “row of lights.” The festival generally symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
We’re delighted to be able to take the time to recognise and celebrate the diverse cultures within our team and be able to share the experience over some home-made, delicious, traditional food!
