Leadership Updates
1 Minute Read

As this is our last edition of The Fix for 2022, I just wanted to take the opportunity to wish you all a safe and happy festive season. I have included a special Christmas video message from our leadership team, which you can watch below.

It has been a huge year for the Mining and Minerals North West Region and we have collectively achieved so much.

Amongst the many highlights was the opening of new facilities in Tom Price and Port Hedland, cementing our long-term commitment to these key operating regions. As part of this commitment, we have continued to work with community partners to invest in our local communities, including significant sponsorships of key events such as Karratha’s FeNaClNg Festival and sporting groups such as the Hedland Reds Football Club.

Throughout the year, our new contract awards and contract extensions have helped us to diversify our customer base and maintain a strong pipeline of work, while extending our service capability.

To recognise our team members who go above and beyond in their roles, we launched new rewards and recognition programs, Safety Champion and Northern Star. To further strengthen the knowledge of our on-field leadership, we also successfully rolled out our Supervisor Passport program.

This week we held the Maintenance & Industrial Services Strategy Update and Awards event online, which was a great opportunity to reflect on the year and celebrate some of the many achievements from across the division. It was great to see our Mining and Minerals North West Region teams pick up two of the five safety awards that were up for grabs.

Congratulations to the Cape Lambert scaffold team who picked up the inaugural award for Delivering the Safe Way in Action. The team were proactive in identifying a safety risk and went above and beyond to contain it and complete further investigations, demonstrating both ‘Speak Up’ and ‘Be Mindful’ behaviours.

The BHP WA Iron Ore Maintenance Projects Team were awarded for the Most Improved Safety Performance. The team brought their TRIFR down to zero, maintained zero serious incidents and reduced their AIFR 19 percent – congratulations on these fantastic results and a well earned win.

Before I sign off, I want to encourage you to read about our new Respect@Monadelphous framework that has been developed. Looking after and respecting each other is core to our safety and wellbeing culture. It is up to all of us to ensure that everyone feels safe, included and respected when working at Monadelphous.

Thank you again to everyone for your efforts in making 2022 a great year.

Please keep safe and look out for one another.

Nick.
