North-West’s Shining Stars

The most recent MMNW Northern Star Achievement Award recipients have been recognised for their sustained, exceptional performance against the award’s criteria of people, performance and reputation attributes.  

Congratulations to January winner Alvin Chui from our East Pilbara Operations team and February winner David Della Rocca from our Port Hedland Operations team.  

Project Lead Alvin was awarded for his outstanding contributions and displaying the key attributes of a Northern Star winner. 

Alvin received multiple nominations and praise from various team members for his exceptional work, demonstrating Monadelphous’ values and a work ethic that was described as “second to none”. 

Alvin goes about his work with a can-do attitude, is always happy to help others and plays a role in ensuring that any delays to projects are mitigated. 

David was also nominated for going above and beyond, taking on the challenging role of establishing an electrical team in the Port Hedland branch.  

Despite being very busy in his role as Project Lead – Electrical, David does not hesitate to assist others and often takes on prestart and coordination tasks, as well as helping out with procurement, checking of electrical drawings and documentation and even doing the airport run to assist others within and outside of his team. 

Nominees of the Northern Star Achievement Award are measured against the following attributes:

• Are constantly looking for better, more efficient and effective ways of doing business, learning from events good or bad (Performance)

• Display determination and tenacity when encountering obstacles and persist in overcoming them. They never give up. (Reputation)
