At Monadelphous, we take great pride in inspiring the next generation and actively promoting amazing opportunities in the resources sector.
Our commitment was on full display at the recent National Association of Women in Operations (NAWO) ‘When I Grow Up’ event in Karratha, where registration maxed out at an impressive 100 attendees.
Anais Will, one of our talented Project Engineers, took centre stage as a panellist, sharing her career journey and offering invaluable insights into the industry. Anais’ engaging storytelling and passion for her work captivated the young audience, as she shared the rewarding career paths Monadelphous offers.
The ‘When I Grow Up’ event is aimed to showcase diverse career opportunities in operations and within the resources sector to girls, as well as their male allies, aged 10-17. The inspiring women on the panel, including Anais, inspired the audience with a vision of what their futures could look like in this industry.
NAWO, the leading national network for women in operations, played a crucial role in organising this event. With a mission to achieve 40 per cent female representation in traditionally male-dominated sectors like mining and manufacturing, NAWO promotes gender balance and recognises its positive impact on business performance.
