Leadership Updates
2 Minute Read

Welcome to the latest edition of The Pipeline, a wrap up of October news and events from our Mining and Minerals Southern Region business.

This month, I was joined in Kalgoorlie by some of our senior leaders from Monadelphous to celebrate the Company’s 50-year anniversary with our local team. It was great to catch up with many of you at a workshop barbeque to mark the anniversary. I understand that there will never be perfect timing for this celebration and that we had a number of people unable to attend due to the Nickel Smelter shutdown work. We took the opportunity to visit the team on-site and send a coffee and food van out on the day, a small token of appreciation for their ongoing dedication to delivering for our customer.

The visit was all about marking what is a significant milestone for the business, particularly as the Goldfields holds such a special place in our history, as a key part of both our early days and our growth over the decades. Check out some of the photos from the visit in this edition of the newsletter.

Reflecting on 50 years of operations, it is our people that have always underpinned Monadelphous’ success, many of whom have been with the business for the long haul. We have a number of long-termers in our Goldfields operations, some who have been with business two or even three decades. One of these is our Administration Officer Angie Cullen, who has been part of the ‘backbone’ supporting our local team for 21 years. You can read Angie’s story in this edition of The Pipeline.

Last month, we also announced we had secured a three-year contract extension for the Boddington mine-site. Our work at Boddington over the years includes providing general, electrical and mechanical maintenance, shutdown support and tank refurbishment services. Well done to the whole team for ensuring we continue this work and maintain a strong customer relationship. Read an overview of the work we do in Boddington in this newsletter.

Finally, you may have seen the announcement in recent weeks that our Executive Chairman, John Rubino, will retire following the AGM on 22 November. Over three decades, John has led Monadelphous to success and his leadership style has helped to build a solid foundation and has shaped the success and strong culture of the Company. Following the AGM and John’s retirement, there will be further leadership changes at Monadelphous, which are outlined in this newsletter.

Also in this edition, find out how to submit your innovative ideas via MProve and read about a program we are supporting to boost digital technology skills amongst South-West students.

As we move into warmer months, remember to stay hydrated and, as always, look after yourself and others.

Paul.
