As we get closer to the end of the year, it’s good to see our great work and efforts continue.

October has been another fantastic month for MMS Monos’ Moments, with many nominations! 

This month, our champion is Garry Fisher from our CBCI Muja team.  

Garry, who recently announced his retirement after many years at the Muja Coal Plant, consistently shows loyalty and commitment every day. Even as he approached retirement, Garry remained fully dedicated to both Monadelphous and the Client, even stepping up to take on tasks outside his usual responsibilities with a positive attitude. Thank you, Garry, for all you’ve done, and all the best in retirement! 

Let’s also give a big round of applause to our other October winners, who have each played a key role in contributing to Monos' success and will all receive $50 Gift Cards: 

Lisa McDonald – Recognised for her teamwork, Lisa ensured that all tasks were covered while her colleague was on leave. Her daily dedication and support to her team at Olympic Dam is deeply appreciated. 

Darl Abrea – A Project Engineer who has gone above and beyond in planning, execution, and continuous development. Darl’s proactive approach and commitment to his team have been essential to the success of recent projects, keeping them on schedule and driving outstanding results. 

Jeffrey Lines – Known for his adaptability, Jeffrey took on various roles, ensuring operations ran smoothly. His commitment to filling staffing gaps over weekends demonstrated his dedication to the team’s success down at Muja. 

Damien Knight, Dave Watson, & Furnace Waste Heat Boiler Tube Repair Team – Displayed exceptional teamwork and achievement by working over the long weekend to address an urgent repair for BHP at the Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter. Their dedication to quality and safety ensured the repair was completed swiftly and effectively. 

Tiarn Minutillo – With unwavering integrity and loyalty, Tiarn plays a vital role in ensuring successful shutdowns at Boddington. Her dedication to her team’s well-being and her willingness to go above and beyond are commendable. 

Brad Smith and Eddie (Lee Khey Sim) – Demonstrated teamwork and achievement by assisting a fellow contractor during an outage at Cockburn Power Station, ensuring a seamless repair process and embodying the “one team, one dream” philosophy. 

Chris Mullinger – Stepped into a supervisory role with enthusiasm and dedication, ensuring tasks were completed efficiently and to a high standard in our Bunbury Workshop. 

Ray Proudfoot – Showed exemplary commitment to safety by identifying a potential hazard down at Worsley, ensuring it was properly addressed, and putting his team’s well-being first. 

Ben Cussen – Exemplified high safety standards in a challenging project, leading by example and ensuring all hazards were thoroughly mitigated in his work down at Tronox for RTW. 

Jodi Green – Recognised for her dedication to safety and teamwork, Jodi took ownership of a confined space, reinforcing safety protocols and keeping her team secure down at Worsley. 

Janine Sherry – Walked nearly 200 km and raised over $3,000 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, a cause close to her heart. Janine’s dedication to this challenge is inspiring, and we applaud her efforts. 

 

November has also been a standout month for MMS Monos’ Moment nominations, with exceptional nominations highlighting our team members’ incredible work and dedication. 

This month’s champion is Joel Grubb from our Kalgoorlie Operations. 

Joel demonstrated outstanding commitment to Safety and Wellbeing and Integrity while in the Fiona Stanley Rehabilitation Ward. Despite being a patient, Joel upheld Monadelphous’ safety standards, identifying potential hazards and taking proactive measures to prevent incidents. He even went the extra mile by recording these occurrences as safety interactions into Cintellate. Joel’s dedication to looking out for others, even outside the workplace, is truly inspiring. Congratulations, Joel, and thank you for your ongoing commitment to safety!: 

Let’s also celebrate our other November winners, who will each receive $50 Gift Cards for their recent contributions: 

Warren Thompson, Tomoana Wijohn & Jason Parslow - This team from the Goldfields quickly identified and isolated a malfunctioning shot blasting tumbler, preventing significant equipment damage and resolving the issue to ensure it wouldn’t reoccur. 

Nader Zoghbi - Nader successfully coordinated the demolition of an RO water tank at a Customers site in the Goldfields, impressing the Client with his thorough planning, hazard control, and dedication. 

Todd Lyons - Todd delivered professional and engaging pre-starts during the Boiler 3 shutdown down at Worlsey Alumina, fostering a strong focus on safety and teamwork among his crew. 

Tahnee Stirling - Tahnee’s dedication ensured Client compliance and efficient mobilisation, meeting strict deadlines with a positive attitude in our WFM Team. 

Anthony Penny & Andrew Bowering - This shift acted quickly to alert emergency services to a nearby grass fire, protecting infrastructure and preventing major disruptions down at KMK Cogeneration in Kwinana. 

Teah Krispyn - Teah’s warm and positive approach, even under pressure, makes her an invaluable “face” of the business down at RTW, appreciated by Customers and Partners alike. 

Timothy Hall - Tim consistently goes above and beyond to provide commercial support, stepping in to cover for colleagues and ensure the commercial team in Perth is fully supported at all times. 

Michael Fairall - As an apprentice, Mick’s determination to learn and teach others has made him a key asset to the South West team, regularly demonstrating our business core values. 

Tayten Dowson - Tayten’s willingness to help others and her positive attitude exemplify the Monadelphous values, making her a valued team member to the Goldfields team.
