We’re thrilled to celebrate our latest divisional winners for their commitment to safety and teamwork through the Tinny Time program!
Tinny Time highlights those who go the extra mile to champion safe practices and support others. Since its launch, it has spotlighted incredible efforts across our division.
Tinny Time moments highlight positive safety actions such as:
- Helping out – giving a hand to a workmate
- Checking in – asking a workmate “are you OK?”
- Speaking up – raising a concern with a teammate
- Owning it – receiving and acknowledging feedback in a positive way
Congratulations to our 2024/2025 monthly winners!
DECEMBER
Chris Leavy at CLAHDO for owning it. After moving a barricade with the supervisor’s permission to complete a survey, Chris realised he had forgotten to replace it. Recognising the potential impact, he immediately informed the supervisor, returned to correct the issue, and openly addressed the incident during the next pre-start meeting.
JANUARY
Adrian Lee at Orebody32 for speaking up. Adrian demonstrated outstanding safety leadership when assessing a pre-slung load for unloading. He recognised the load was unsafe to lift due to improper rigging and lack of support, he immediately stopped the task, informed his supervisor, and took proactive steps to safely re-rig the load using a platform ladder. Despite being newly inducted, Adrian exemplified the site’s safety motto - “The Safe Way is The Only Way” - proving that safety is always the top priority.
FEBRUARY
Raymond ‘Razor’ Fowles at Chevron Jansz for speaking up. Whilst completing a lift for the electrical department at the CSUB facility, Raymond identified an unsafe act being performed by a fellow workmate. He observed the worker carrying items of equipment down the scaffold access without three points of contact. Raymond stopped the job and took it upon himself to locate a suitable lifting cage for the task, thereby removing the risk of potential injury. Raymond organised for the cage to be lifted with the 250T crane onto the sub-station landing so the equipment could be loaded and lifted down to grade safely.
MARCH
Chloe Horton at CLAHDO for helping out. Chloe went above and beyond in managing accommodation arrangements for the team, taking calls, and resolving issues even outside of regular hours.
APRIL
Tony Giezendanner at Western Range for helping out. Jointly nominated by our client (Worley/Rio) and the MEA project team (Trent Murat, Luke Barton and Mal Brook), Tony has gone above and beyond to support urgent project transport needs. Over the past four to five weeks especially, he has responded to calls, arranged transport – even while on leave or weekends – and provided outstanding support to both the client and the Western Range Project team.
A massive thank you to Chris, Adrian, Raymond, Chloe, and Tony for your fantastic contributions.
As we gear up for the second half of 2025, we look forward to seeing even more Tinny Time nominations and continuing to celebrate the team’s exceptional efforts.
How do I nominate someone for Tinny Time recognition?
If a teammate deserves recognition, let your supervisor know. They can submit a Tinny Time form to share their positive impact across the EC Division.
We encourage everyone to support this initiative and celebrate the team’s exceptional efforts. Keep the nominations coming!
