In just 12 months you could develop the skills and competencies needed to work as a technical, field-based Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor. The Engineering Construction (EC) HSE Trainee Program, gives Monadelphous employees the opportunity, structure and support needed to go from an operational role to a technical HSE Advisor.

Who can apply?

Trainee positions are limited, and eligibility criteria applies. Applicants must:

  • Have been working for Monadelphous for at least six months (i.e., trades) and have worked in a trade position in the construction industry for a minimum of five years OR non-trade position for a minimum of 10 years
  • Have a minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Be prepared to work fly-in-fly-out on a project roster

About the program

Throughout the 12-month program, trainees will be provided with mentoring and support from experienced HSE personnel and will be exposed to a variety of HSE Advisor roles and responsibilities. All trainees must successfully complete the requirements outlined in the HSE Trainee Passport, which includes but not limited to, performing and delivering on a range of HSE activities.
 
Upon successful completion, HSE trainees are eligible to apply for HSE Advisor positions on Monadelphous EC projects, with the guarantee of an interview.

How to apply

If you’re interested in applying, speak to your Supervisor and Project Management. Where it’s agreed the project can support a HSE Trainee and the applicant meets the prerequisites, the Project Manager can nominate them for selection into the HSE Trainee Program.
